The AmAzing Green Team

The Amazing Green Team was created by myself and Natalie Cohen, the environmental coordinator at Amazing Grace Lutheran. We developed a program that combined art, gardening, cooking, and family time, and implemented it beginning in the Fall of 2017. At the center of the program was planting food for a Green Team centered food share, that students would pick the pants for, as well as develop recipes that they could cook once they were back in their own homes. During the school year, we partnered with a local middle school’s green team to add gardening to the other environmental ideas they were learning.
